Essay

The thesis deals with study on problems of formation of future border guard officers’ personal security skills in the process of profession-oriented subjects studying. The structure of the future border guard officers’ personal security skills: tactical and special; psychophysiological; moral organizational. International practices of personal security skills formation among border police staff has been analyzed. The criterias and indicators of the future border guard officers’ personal security skills formedness have been defined. The state of the skills mentioned formedness has been analyzed, the pedagogical conditions of their effective formation have been grounded: modeling of special educational situations at lessons on professionally oriented disciplines, aimed at understanding the significance of personal security skills for carrying out operational and service duties; ensuring the continuity and phased formation of personal security skills at higher military educational establishment; application of active methods for the formation of the cadets’ personal security skills in the process of mastering professionally oriented disciplines; preparation of teaching staff for the professionally oriented disciplines teaching in view of the experience of personal security skills applying in operational and service activities. The developed structural and functional model of formation of the personal security skills of the future border guard officers in the process of studying professionally oriented disciplines includes the following blocks: conceptual; procedural and methodical; control and results.
