The thesis describes the essence of "resocialization of foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres" concept; defines the peculiarities of the resocialization process for foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres; theoretically substantiates the components and mechanisms of the pedagogical support introduction for the resocialization of foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres: criteria, indicators and levels of resocialization of foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres; clarifies the interpretation of concepts: "resocialization of personality"; "pedagogical support" and description of directions for resocialization of foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres; the forms and methods of resocialization of foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres were further developed. The practical significance of the dissertation research results is to introduce a qualitatively new pedagogical support for the process of resocialization of foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres. Based on analysis and generalization of scientific literature, the main groups were identified and characterized of process peculiarities for resocialization of foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres. The criteria and indicators are substantiated of resocialization of foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres. The level of resocialization of foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres is defined as the degree of constancy and duration of resocialization indicators display in consciousness, motivation, and behaviour of foster children. Pedagogical support for resocialization of foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres is defined as a complex of pedagogical measures, mechanisms and forms of their implementation, which promotes the enhancement of own experience and potential in foster children, as well as expands the possibilities of teaching and educational system of the social and psychological rehabilitation centres for children in order to increase the efficiency of foster children resocialization . It has been established that the components of pedagogical support for resocialization are important structural content units that systematically effect the increase of the indicators formation level for resocialization of foster children from social and psychological rehabilitation centres. The following components were characterised of the pedagogical support for resocialization of foster children from social and psychological rehabilitation centres: purpose, principles, content, directions, mechanisms, and forms of implementation. The effectiveness was proved of the developed pedagogical support for resocialization of foster children from the centres, as well as forms of social-pedagogical work with them. A comprehensive program was implemented for resocialization of foster children from the social and psychological rehabilitation centres: "You are not doing yourself justice!" which includes three interrelated modules: "Do not waste time", "Ins and outs of the world", "It is more interesting together". The forms were tested of social-pedagogical work with parents (persons who replace them) of the foster children (parent's lecture, interactive classes, parental assistance groups) and specialists of the social-psychological rehabilitation centres for children (lectures, pedagogical workshops). Results of experimental work analysis and evaluation show the positive changes in the indicators levels of resocialization criteria for foster children under study.
