Slesarenko O. Appearance and operation of the Central Commission for National Minorities in Ukraine (1924 - 1934)

The thesis is devoted to the multi-method research of the operation of the Central Commission for National Minorities during the 1924 - 1934 years. The historiographical heritage of researchers on the life of minority of interwar era in order to identify the role of specialized government bodies in the implementation of ethnic policy of the Bolsheviks was analyzed. The main sources of the group for purposes of their faithfulness and representativeness were highlighted. Conceptual framework and historical circumstances of the creation of specialized institutions on work with ethnic minority were learnt. Organizational structure, mechanisms and key activities of national departments CP(B)U, the People's Commissariat for Education and the Department of National Minorities of the People's Commissariat of Internal affairs of USSR in the early 1920s that defined the future principles of CCNM were researched.
