Vyshnevskyi S. Urate diathesis of Turkey poults (diagnosis, treatment and prevention)

In the dissertation there are the results of the clinic and metabolic disorders in the organism of baby turkeys with uric acid diathesis under the conditions of extensive technology of their breeding and there is a developed by the applicant method of prevention and treatment of turkeys with this pathology by using the complex mineral product Indykamin. We’ve created a new veterinary product Indykamin based on the lactate compound of macro- and microelements, probiotic Tryman-P and adsorbent. As a result of the done research it was stated that the probiotic Tryman-P in a dose of 0.5 mg/l of water is not toxic for the digestive flora and stimulates its growth. At the same time it was noted that the digestion of food and the absorption of nutrients in the digestive tract of baby turkeys improves. It is stated that the usage of the product Indykamin in a dose of 2.0 g/kg of food is a more effective way of treatment of the uric acid diathesis ill baby turkeys in comparison to the usage of the product Allopurynol in a dose of 10 mg/kg of body mass. This is indicated by the improvement of the overall health of baby turkeys, the normalization of the morphological and biochemical blood indices. The most of clinical, morphological and biochemical blood indices are being renewed in the organism of uric acid diathesis ill baby turkeys already during the first 14 days, and a full recovery happens on the 21 day of treatment the turkeys. The usage of the product Indykamin for baby turkeys aged 1 month during 30 days in a dose of 1.0 g/kg of food prevents the beginning of the uric acid diathesis among them and is an effective method of prevention of this pathology. That gives the basis to recommend the product Indykamin for usage in veterinary medicine for the treatment of the uric acid diathesis ill baby turkeys.
