The thesis is a comprehensive study that comprises a wide range of issues related to the interaction of the zemstvos and the state in the field of agriculture in the Taurida Gubernia in the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. On the basis of a large number of sources, the analysis of the agronomical organization, the financing lines, the methods of cooperation as well as the distribution of powers in the agrarian sector were traced.
