The dissertation is a theoretical and experimental research of the problem of formation of specialty knowledge control of future foreign language teachers in the process of distance learning. The didactic, psychological and methodical specific features of knowledge control of future foreign language teachers in the process of distance learning are investigated; new methodology of formation of specialty knowledge control of future foreign language teachers in the process of distance learning is suggested in the research; structural and functional model of formation of specialty knowledge control of future foreign language teachers in the process of distance learning has been suggested and experimentally verified; the criteria (motivated, lingual and social and cultural, methodological and informational) and levels of formation of specialty knowledge are worked out.
