Essay

The thesis is devoted to the research of the formation of the rats fetus and placenta under injection of low doses of lead acetate and its combined injection with citrate metals (gold, silver) during pregnancy. Found embryotoxic effect of lead acetate isolated injection and modifying effect of citrate metals on embryotoxicity of lead acetate, which was determined by reducing in the total embryonic mortality, increasing the number of live fetuses and their weight. Detected a negative effect of lead acetate on the placental development, leading to changes in morphometric parameters of placenta and circulatory disorders: a reduction of maternal gaps and fetal vessels relative volume, the uneven filling gaps and capillaries, strengthened aggregation of red blood cells, reducing the amount of glycogen in «glycogen » cells, while increasing their relative volume and reduced the relative volume of trophoblast giant cells. It was found that the combined injection of lead acetate and citrate metals (gold, silver) leads to the formation of compensatory adaptations in the placenta, which is determined in increasing the labyrinthine area of placenta, enhanced blood filling of maternal gaps, fetal vessels and capillaries, restoration of glycogen and giant cell relative volume.
