Essay

Object: teachers of folk schools of Galicia in the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries in school, community, national, everyday and private practice. Aim: to create the most complete collective biography of teachers of public schools in Galicia in the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Methods: historical and prosopographic analysis, comparison, problem-thematic, systematic, analytical, sociological, retrospective, descriptive. Results: for the first time in the center of scientific research a collective biography of popular teachers was put up without the division of the socio-occupational group according to national and territorial criteria, a prosopographic analysis of the socio-professional group of folk teachers was conducted, feedback was established between the teachers and the national elites, to the scientific circulation introduced a significant part of previously unused sources. Sphere of use: in the writing of historical and pedagogical works, in the study of intellectual, social, gender and political history, history of education, everyday life and interethnic relations in suburbs of Galicia, in teaching.
