Kazan E. Development of the Military Medical Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (1991 – 2015)

Object: Military Medical Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Purpose: comprehensive analysis of the peculiarities of the military medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine functioning in the context of modern state-building processes. Methods: systematization, typology, retrospection, problem-chronological, historical-comparative, critical-analytical, biographical. Results: for the first time in Ukrainian historiography a comprehensive analysis of the mechanisms for the formation and functioning of the military medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the historical retrospective was conducted, the effectiveness of the activities of the Central Military Medical Department, the Military Medical Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Permanent Staff on the organization of medical care of the population and ATO participants, the Military Civilian Coordinating Staff of Medical Aid was characterized, attempts to integrate the system of medical support of troops (forces) in a single medical space Ukraine under ATO were considered, approaches and principles to reform the military medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the requirements for the formation / training of personnel reserve military medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were improved. Scope of use: for further comparative study of the problem, in the system of military medical service organization at the central and local levels, in the educational process in the preparation of generalized / special scientific papers and manuals on military medicine of Ukraine.
