Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of histofunctional and histological features of the structure of the enamel and dentin of the cervical area of small angular teeth of a person in the normal, under conditions of defeat by caries, depending on odontoglyphic drawing. On the basis of the complex of morphological methods of research, new data and deepened existing concepts of the structural and functional organization of solid tissues of the cervical area of small angular teeth were obtained, and the patterns of their changes in the carious process were revealed. Dependence of caries on odontoglyphic pattern of teeth has been established. In odontoglyphic «+»-drawing in small angular teeth of the upper and lower jaws, the carious process develops with the predominant lesion of the pits and furrows, and in the case of «y»-picture, it is characterized by a combined defeat of the pits, furrows and the caudal region. It was revealed that the pathogenetic links of carious process in the teeth removed after periodontal and orthodontic indexes are not the same.
