Essay

Object of study - selection properties and their variability in the new ones early ripe, cold-resistant flint self-pollinated lines and received on the basis of early ripe hybrids of corn. Purpose - estimation and the selection of self-pollinated families S4-S6, flint type of different genetic origin for the selection of early ripe cold resistant hybrids of maize. Methods - hybridization, individual selection, inbreeding - in the process of creating the source material; visual - for conducting phonological observations; laboratory - for studying the level of cold-resistant material; measuring-weight - for the account of the crop and the determination of the biometric features of plants; mathematical and statistical - to determine the reliability of the results, indicators of combining ability, correlation of the signs, variance indices economically valuable properties. Results: in farms of all forms property use listed to the State register of plant varieties, the following hybrids of maize:early-ripe - DN Palanok (FAO 180), DN Zoryana (FAO 190), DB Lada (FAO 190), DN Patriot (FAO 190); medium-early - DN Argo (FAO 250), DN Slavica (FAO 270) and medium-ripe - DN Bulat (FAO 350). They provide increase grain yield 3-5 % comparatively with corresponding hybrid standards at a lower level of 1,2-2,3 % of harvest moisture. Novelty - for the first time, the features of the manifestation of the basic ones have been studied economically valuable properties of early ripe self-pollinated families S4-S6 and the ways of their further use in the selection practice, formed collection early ripe cold-resistant, flint type, which are the basis for the formation of the gene pool source material when creating early ripe hybrids of corn. Conducted estimation and selection among the source material for properties associated with early ripe. Highlighted samples with a high level of cold resistance, high combining ability with respect to yield and low harvesting grain moisture content. Highlighted best test-cross hybrids what for yield grains increased standard Orzhitsa 237MV by 0,9-1,8 t/ha, with the lowest by 0,1-0,6 % of it moisture. Sector - agricultural science.
