Semenchuk S. Pagan centres of the left bank of Middle Dniester region (ХІ century BC - ХІІІ century AD)

The thesis reveals, on the basis of achievements of historiography and objective analysis of sources, the history of the development of centres of paganism of the left bank of the Middle Dniester region. Consideration of the issue gives an opportunity to take a new look at the history of the formation of pagan centres of the studied region. The essence of the burial rites of the period of the final bronze, Early-Scythian, Early Slavonic times and the period of the developed Middle Ages on the materials of burial mounds, burial complexes and burial grounds (39 centres) is restored. The study of the burial rite directly gives information about the social status of the buried. The analysis of the rite, gives an opportunity to penetrate into the depths of social organization, material and production activities and the spiritual life of a separate society. It was found out, that it is possible to trace the evolutionary development of biritualizm on the specified territory in the XI century. B.C. - V century AD, and the ritual of inhumation was traced by researches up to the XIII century AD.7452
