Essay

The study deals with the problem of development of creative abilities of preschool children in the drawing lessons. It analyses the state of this issue in domestic and foreign scientific literature. By theoretical analysis of the psychological and educational sources, the author clarifies the meaning of the concept "creative abilities of the child of preschool age" as the properties due to the age peculiarities - the ability to sensory perception, emotional responsiveness, empathy, imagination, figurative and associative thinking, animism, and synesthesia - is the basis for creative self-realization in art activity. The structural components (figurative and associative, emotional, productive), criteria (cognitive, sensory/aesthetic, activity and aesthetic) and the corresponding indices have been provided, the characteristics of levels of development of creative abilities of preschool children (high, medium and low) have been described. The technology of development of creative abilities of preschoolers in the classroom during drawing lessons has been developed, substantiated, and practically tested as the model of organization of artistic and aesthetic activities of preschoolers, focused on the development of their cognitive experiences, emotional and sensual perception of the surrounding world, the formation of aesthetic relationship to its objects, and provides artistic and creative expression of each child. Its introduction into preschool educational institutions has secured the development of emotional-sensual perception of the surrounding world, the formation of aesthetic attitude to its objects, and has enriched cognitive experience that provides artistic and creative expression of each child. Educational conditions of effective introduction of the technology of development of creative abilities of preschool children in the drawing lessons have been suggested: the teacher's professionalism as a set of psycho-educational, technological and cultural competencies, and methodical, didactic, information support of educational process during drawing lessons. The results of implementing the developed technology in the educational process of the preschool educational institutions have proved its effectiveness.
