Huchko O. The Formation and Development of the Health Care System in Bukovina (1775 - 1940).

The thesis is the first comprehensive study of the pre-Soviet history of health care in Bukovina, during its stay in Austria (Austria-Hungary) and Romania (1775-1940). For the first time, the historical conditions of the health care organization in Bukovina were restored during the study period. The reasons of the morbidity and mortality of the population of the region in the defined period are highlighted, features of the birth and development of the health care system, medical care in the province are highlighted, the process of opening and operation of new hospitals were systematically highlighted. The problems that arose in the system of health care and medical care for the population of Bukovina during the Austrian period were characterized, and the main tasks facing the sanitary and hospital services during the period of stay in the territory of the royal Romania were characterized, and the issues of the development and peculiarities of the development of obstetric care in the province were researched; the organization of medical education and the activities of medical personnel.
