Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the solution of the scientific and technical problem, aimed at improving fuel economy and environmental indicators of automobile engines with spark ignition in the mode of warming up. The study of the influence of air heating on the introduction of a thermal phase-shift battery, which accumulates the utilized portion of the thermal energy of the exhaust gases for fuel efficiency and the environmental performance of gasoline engines with different power systems in the heating mode, is accumulated. As a result of the research, it was found that during the heating of the air at the inlet, the duration of the engine's heating, the fuel consumption for heating, the mass emissions of harmful substances, and the duration of the heating of the three-component catalytic converter are reduced.
