The object of research: formation of the Soviet identity of Ukrainian society in the context of military construction in the 1917-1920 years. The aim of research: to reveal and generalize the content and direction of the main factors in the formation of the Soviet worldview of the Red Army soldiers as an integral component of the social and historical development of Ukraine in the period of the formation of Bolshevism. The subject of research: socio-political and economic factors in the formation of the Soviet worldview of the Red Army soldiers to integrate them into the Bolshevik system. The results of research and novelty: on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of a wide range of archival and published sources, as well as the historiographic base, a comprehensive review of the policy of Soviet power regarding the purposeful transformational influences on the world outlook of servicemen who were members of the Bolshevik Workers'and Peasants' Red Army formations on the territory of Soviet Ukraine in 1917-1920 years. The forms and methods of involving Ukrainians in military service in the Workers'and Peasants' Red Army in the early years of Soviet rule formation were characterized. The main directions of agitation and mass work of the Bolsheviks in the Red Army are investigated. A scientific reconstruction of the process of adaptation of Red Army soldiers in civilian life has been carried out. The role of demobilized Red Army soldiers in the formation of the Soviet identity of the Ukrainian population has been revealed. Field of use: further development of research subjects, writing of generalizing works, textbooks, while lecturing the history of Ukraine in the university.
