Levytsʹka O. Human-geographical study of transformations of the planning structure of the city of Ivano-Frankivsk

The expediency of using the socio-geographical approach to the study of the city, including its planning organization and urban space transformations, is substantiated. A number of theories, approaches, methods of city research, which arise in connection with the rapid pace of development of urbanization processes in the world, are considered. The conditions and factors of the formation and territorial organization of the city planning structure are analyzed, in particular natural and environmental factors, historical and geographical factors and a number of socio-geographical factors, in particular geographic location, population and labor resources, transport, development of the urban economic complex and social complex, and also a managerial factor. We also analyzed the attractiveness of the Ivano-Frankivsk city space in connection with the development of the city as a tourist center of Ukraine.
