Samoilenko O. Stained Glass Art of Kyiv Artists of the Second Half of the XX – Beginning of the XXI Century: Typology, Artistic and Stylistic Peculiarities.

In this thesis the research of the development of Kyiv stained glass art of the second half of the XX - the beginning of the XXI century has been carried out to identify the originality of this artistic phenomenon, outline the formation of the main directions of artistic and stylistic decisions and their characteristic features, determine the place and role of artistic stained glass in the monumental art of Kyiv of the designated period. Historical and cultural analysis of the periods of decay and bloom of stained glass art during this period makes it possible to outline the main transformation factors of the functional and aesthetic role of stained glass in architecture, the significance of external influences on the formation of thematic and figurative concepts. To determine the extent of the theme work out, an analysis of literary sources on the topic of scientific work was conducted to state that until now, the complex study of stained-glass windows of Kyiv artists as a separate phenomenon in the development of the monumental art of Ukraine of the twentieth century has not been carried out.
