Essay

In the dissertation, the publicistic heritage of Russian philologist Sergey Averintsev and the Ukrainian philosopher Serhiy Krymsky were investigated for the first time. The main value orientations proposed by both authors in the context of post-Soviet public discussion are emphasized. A critical review of the work on theory of publicism was conducted. New illustrative material is brought to the explanation of the phenomenon of «worldview publicism». It is suggested to investigate author’s publicism using the notion of «public role». In particular, the works of S. Averintsev and S. Krymsky were considered within the confrontation of the public roles of the «sage» and «expert». The emphasized value orientations of S. Averintsev and S. Krymsky’s publicism - wisdom, spirituality and dialogue - were analyzed not only in the context of the works of both authors, but also against the background of fateful social changes of the 1990s-2000s.
