Essay

The professional improvement of teachers of economic disciplines in higher educational institutions is the research object. The psychological and pedagogical conditions of pedagogical skills development of the teacher of economic disciplines in higher educational institution are the research subject. The research aim is to determine, theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the psychological and pedagogical conditions of the pedagogical skills development of the teacher of economic disciplines in a higher educational institution. Methods of research: analysis, modeling, generalization, systematization, questioning, observation, questionnaires, testing, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. The psychological and pedagogical conditions for the development of pedagogical mastery of a teacher of economic disciplines in higher educational institutions are firstly determined and theoretically substantiated; the model of pedagogical skills development of the teacher of economic disciplines in the university is developed, the structure of pedagogical skills is determined and the criteria (motivational, cognitive, activity, personal, adaptive) and levels of its development (creative, productive, reproductive) are specified. The technology of pedagogical skills development of the teacher of economic disciplines in higher educational institutions is improved. The essence of the concept “pedagogical skill of the teacher of economic disciplines” is specified. The principles of implementation of the subject-subjective interaction and the individual approach to the pedagogical skills development of teachers of economic disciplines in the system of methodological work of the department of higher education has been further developed.
