Essay

Dissertation is devoted on the historical and pedagogical analysis of forms and methods of junior pupils' upbringing by means of folk choreography in general and extra-curricular institutions of Ukraine (1945–1991). Studied source bases on historiography of the problems under investigation; developed by the main stages of the development of forms and methods of education of junior pupils in educational space of Ukraine:1) retrieval and search (1945 – 1950 years), 2) organizational and pedagogical (1951–1960), 3) structural and modernization (1961–1991). Features of use are outlined pedagogical potential of folk choreography in the education of junior Students of the studied period: the mass of reporting concerts, reviews, competitions, festivals of children's amateur performances; certainty criteria of motivations and perspectives; the predominance of the methods of competition and promotion; state control and support, etc. Achievements are defined creative use of the national historical pedagogical experience of education junior pupils by means of folk choreography in modern conditions: orientation on upbringing in the team, improvement of the artistic knowledge and choreographic skills, increasing interest in folk dance, the development of creative potential of elementary school students, the integration of gaming methods in the educational process, etc.
