The thesis researches organized recruitment and resettlement to and out of Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (the second half of 1940 – 1980). From the second half of 1940 and to the collapse of the Soviet Union the highest authorities controlled recruitment in Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Special system of organized inter-territorial and inter-branch appointment and reappointment of labor resources of the country facilitated this process. The Soviet power relied on labor bodies which implemented big economic projects. Organized recruitment and labor resettlement of families in Soviet Ukraine were one of the most numerous in the Soviet Union both in the amount of resettled persons and spheres. The research stresses that depending on internal policy of the Soviet state the system of organized recruitment and resettlement was represented by specially created bodies. Attention was focused on legal acts which defined relations between participants of organized recruitment and resettlement. Due to statistical data it was possible to establish quality result of organized recruitment and labor resettlement, to highlight its main features at different historical stages of Ukrainian SSR as well as to address tasks and consequences of Soviet labor policy in the second half of 1940 – 1980. The author proved necessity to divide regular use of working population in several stages: the second half of 1940 – 1953, 1954 – 1967, 1968 – 1980. It is stated that each of them has various political, social and economic tasks, peculiarities of implementation, social basis, regions of recruitment and places of employees’ appointment.
