The Black Sea region has long played an important role - the most important sea routes on the Black Sea crossed among the countries from the ancient world to our days. In this study, for the first time, a complex attempt was made to analyze the historical process of the origin, formation and development of the hydrographic service system in the Black Sea in the XIX – beginning of the XX centuries.
