Izotova M. Legal status of the head of the local prosecutor's office.

The dissertation is devoted to the complex study of issues related to the definition of requirements for candidates and the procedure for appointing a head of the local prosecutor's office, removal from office, description of the rights and responsibilities of the head of the local prosecutor's office, organization of his work. The legal status of the head of the local prosecutor's office is defined as a set of legal provisions that determine the specifics of his legal status, distinguish him among other employees of the prosecutor's office and characterize the main aspects of the practical establishment of the head of the local prosecutor's office and the organization of his work. Аllocated еhree groups of official duties of the head of the local prosecutor's office: professional, auxiliary and compensatory rights. Also the duties of the head of the local prosecutor's office are classified. Іnvestigated requirements for candidates for the position of the head of the local public prosecutor's office are determined, the procedure for selection and appointment to the position of the head of the local prosecutor's office, the grounds and procedure for his dismissal from the post. Classification of requirements for persons wishing to assume the position of the head of the local prosecutor's office on: a) general; b) special two levels; c) additional. Attention is drawn to the shortcomings of the current Law of Ukraine «On the Prosecutor's Office» in determining the requirements for a candidate for the position of head of local Prosecutor's Office, procedure for his appointment to the post, refusal to appoint, proposed changes to the said Law.
