Essay

The article analyzes the participation of higher education institutions of Ukraine in the process of state-building. The role of higher education accreditation and standardization of higher education in the process of preparation of qualified specialists is determined. The process of formation and development of non-state institutions of higher education is highlighted and their role in the commercialization of higher education is determined. The influence of economic factors on changes in the system of higher education has been studied. It was determined that the growth of labor remuneration of teachers was slow. Her level did not match foreign counterparts, although the volume of workload of many Ukrainian teachers was significantly higher than their foreign counterparts. In addition, in the part of foreign universities, the distinction between scientific and teaching functions was practiced: university staff mostly or taught, or engaged in scientific or organizational work. The importance of the process of globalization for the reform of Ukrainian universities is shown. Globalization has increased the attention to the study of English in universities. In the part of universities there was introduced the teaching of her educational disciplines. It expanded the possibilities for communication between students and teachers from different countries. It is also worth noting the enormous enrichment of higher education institutions with modern information technologies, the widespread connection to the network INTERNET and the intensive development of distance learning forms for students.
