Essay

Matter: nursing students professional training in medical colleges; the purpose: to theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the pedagogical conditions for the nursing students professional competence formation; methods: theoretical analysis, synthesis, comparison, classification, matching, systematization of the referral, psychological and pedagogical, special literature and regulatory documents on the research issue with the objective to reveal the professional competency essence and the content, determine its place and role in the set of requirements for the future medical specialists and the pedagogical terms reasoning for the formation of nursing students professional competency in the process of their vocational training; modeling - for the structurally functional nursing competency formation mode development; students and teachers questionnaire; monitoring the control and experimental group students activities; survey, testing, interviewing, conversations with a view to determine the status and deficiencies of nursing training process; grounding conclusions on dynamics of professional competency formation levels on the basis of pedagogical conditions implementation; pedagogical experiment - to check the effectiveness of certain pedagogical conditions for the nurses professional competency formation; quantitative and qualitative research results analysis with an objective of experimental work data synthesis, methods of mathematical data to determine the statistical significance of the obtained results; novelty: the theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested pedagogical conditions for the nurses professional competency formation: the teachers’ methodological level improvement through the scientific and methodological seminars content enrichment, trainings, round-table talks, master classes on the basis of facilitative engagement; interactive methods of teaching professionally oriented disciplines application by stepping up dual education; organization of independent students study under the real and simulated professional activities; structurally functional model of nurses professional competency formation was developed; the notion " nurse professional competence" is defined; the structural components, criteria and the levels of nurses professional competence formation are specified; further development: the content, forms and the methods of the nurses professional competence formation in the process of vocational training in medical colleges.
