Thesis presents current issues concerning the research of accordion-ensemble performance as a phenomenon of Ukrainian music culture. The most important issues concern questions of the priority of this type of art, that is, the constant increase of its socio-cultural significance level, as well as the cultural aspects of its poetics, spirituality phenomena, dialogics and mastery as innovative cultural factors. These aspects consider being basic from the point of view of formation and development of both folk instrumental culture in general and accordion-ensemble music making in particular. Therefore, the paper defines specific features of the «priority» concept regarding performing genres with appropriate specificity in the context of accordionensemble art. The paper specifies the chronology of the development of accordionensemble performance in accordance with its definitions and socio-cultural functions, describing its professionalization and academic degree earning. The paper also specifies genre and style features of repertoire support of this instrumental field from the point of view of traditional and innovative cultural trends. The paper analyzes phenomena of spirituality, dialogics and mastery as components of performing poetics projected on to innovative cultural potential of accordion-ensemble art. A systematic approach to studying the accordion-ensemble art as a phenomenon of Ukrainian music culture enabled a well-ordered and efficient analysis of this complex phenomenon at most important levels of its functioning: 1) as an object of musicological research (scientific priority); 2) as an object of evaluation according to the criteria of priority (the priority of performing genre in theoretical, historical and practical aspects). These two basic vectors of analysis became the basis for determining the features of dialectical correlation between theory and practice in the specification of all levels of hierarchical system of the «priority» concept, applying the principle of organization corresponding to the ‘private – specific – general’ triad. When studied the accordion-ensemble performing genre, a need to correct the definition of the «priority» concept with its levels’ characteristics has arisen due to the change of the object of evaluation. Thus, the criteria for determining the priority, along with the relevance, were the novelty and the creative perspective, which, in combination, determine viable existence of a performing genre. In this case, levels of the hierarchical system of «priority» are: the global level (a development of creative activity forms, needed to optimize the existence of mankind), the state level (a sociocultural support of the development of a specific performing genre), art institution (a level of the necessity to create specific art performing groups), art performing group (an availability of resources for further creative progress). The result of the study is the formation of a full presentation of Ukrainian accordion-ensemble art as a holistic socio-cultural phenomenon, with a powerful semantic potential of innovative cultural significance and purpose in all ways of interaction of its theoretical, historical and practical parameters. Key words: accordion-ensemble art, dialogics, spirituality, performing genre, mastery, priority, repertoire, Ukrainian music culture.
