Object of research: morpho-biological features, regularities of variability, inheritance, ecological stability, correlation, combining ability, genetic variance and installation of breeding value. Objective: The aim of the study was installation selection and genetic features of collection samples and varieties and to select and create the raw material of rice with high yields and quality of grain, to determine the regularities of their variability, inheritance, inheritance, interrelations between quantitative and qualitative characteristics, combining ability, genetic variation, selection and creation on this basis of new source material for selection. Methods of research: General-scientific, field, breeding, technological, biochemical, genetic-statistical. Novelty: For the first time in the contrasting weather conditions of the Skadovsk district of the Kherson region, features of collectible samples of different origin are established separately in three groups of maturation. As a result of established regularities, the selective value for certain features of 17 early ripe 13 medium- ripe and 14 late- ripe varieties and lines of rice has been determined. The features of the best 10 varieties of rice of different groups of maturation according to the level of indicators of grain quality attributes are established. A close positive correlation between the quantitative morphological and biological characteristics of the plants examined of the best 10 varieties of rice was determined. As a result of the road analysis of productivity, high selective value of certain quantitative characteristics of rice plants has been determined. The positive average link between the quantitative characteristics of grain quality of the investigated 10 varieties of rice was determined. The features of varieties and lines of rice according to ecological stability in different growing conditions are established. Hybrid combinations with inheritance by the type of positive domination in F1 are determined. The breeding and genetic features of rice varieties according to the combination ability on quantitative morpho-biological and qualitative features of quality are established. The features of rice varieties are determined due to the predominance of additive genes effects with a higher value of the levels of variation of the GCA than the variation of the SCA. The largest selection value of 12 of the 60 studied varieties was determined based on the complex of morphological and biological characteristics, their ecological stability and 8 of the 10 varieties according to a set of quantitative characteristics of grain quality. The efficiency of creation of valuable lines of rice as source material for selection is determined. Results: Established breeding genetic laws ensure the efficient allocation of valuable raw material for rice selection. Recommended and introduced in 2017 at the Institute of rice of NAAS in the selection process, 12 varieties are selected for a complex of valuable morphological and biological features, as well as 8 varieties - on the basis of grain quality. A new variety of Lazuryt rice has been introduced, which is included in the State Register of Plant Varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine, from 2017. High yields, plant productivity, a new line UIR-4558 has been allocated, which as a Fagot rice variety has been transferred to the State Variety Testing from 2018 It was created by hybridization method with the following selection, evaluated and used in the breeding process at the Institute of rice of NAAS 500 lines of rice, among which there were 82 valuable lines in the selection nursery, 12 valuable lines in the control nursery. Degree of Implementation: Valuable varieties selected in the breeding process of rice are selected according to the complex of morphological and biological characteristics.
