Dimitrova-Burlayenko S. Preparing students of technical universities to the manifestation of creative competence in their professional activity

The dissertation gives theoretical underpinning and practical solutions to up-to-the-minute scientific and applied task connected to the formation of creative competence of future engineers in the course of their professional training at technical university settings. Theoretical grounds of preparation of technical university students to the manifestation of their creative competence have been investigated; the essence, structure and the criteria of future engineer creative competence have been substantiated. Pedagogical conditions of preparing technical university students to manifestation of creative competence in their professional activity have been grounded, developed and experimentally tested. The conditions under consideration are based on the following approaches: learner-centered and hands-on, system, competence, and environmental, which are implemented through the construction of creative educational environment, treated as the background for the manifestation of future engineers creative competence; the development of personality creative potential while studying at technical university; introduction of selective educational-and-practical special course of study – “Training of Creativity”, aimed at creative competence formation. The package of methodological materials directed to the formation of future engineers creative competence set for teachers and students of higher technical educational establishments has been developed.
