Mykhats R. Ukrainian Theater Movement in Eastern Galicia in the Context of Formation of the National Identity of Children and Youth (the second half of the nineteenth and thirties of the twentieth century)

In the thesis the development of the theatrical movement of Eastern Galicia in the context of educational trends of national culture in the second half of XIX - 30-ies of XX century is comprehensively investigated and its impact on the formation of national identity is found. Experience of children and youth's national education by means of theatrical art on modern educational practice is extrapolated. In particular, the attention is emphasized on the strengthening of cooperation of professional theatre groups with educational institutions as to children and youth's national-patriotic education, especially in the selection of repertoire, attracting young people to theatre activities, the introducing of special theatre courses into the educational process of higher education institutions/
