The thesis examines the category of "synesthesia" as a criterion of culture of human sensuality in the context of social-philosophical discourse using the potential of dialectics of the socio and cultural process. It is proved that synesthesia is the ability of ideal realization by the unreal process, expression and reproduction of the common in its universal forms; it is the point of generation and entry into the form of omniscience. As a logical concept, synesthesia is the result of social practice, which changes the external reality, destroys its external certainty and makes it an objective truth. It is found that synesthesia, as specifically developed sensual culture of the individual, not an accident, and holistically grasped and conscious need. It generates a generally significant socio-cultural product in the form of an individual shift in the system of images created by the previous activity of creative imagination. It is shown that the content of synesthesia as a principle of the development of the integrity of cognitive and knowledge, creative activity and creativity of thinking is displaying not the sensual reality of the subject world, but the change the way of display, the way of presentation, which contains the possibility of creativity. Creative imagination as a universal human ability can be formed on synesthesia - a way of subject-object activity of an individual. The image of the available universal forms of activity exists independently of consciousness and existence of each individual, which is necessarily focused on the presence of these forms as an absolute reference point; the form is manifested in the sense and opposed to opinion, historically cultivated and set consciousness as already defined by thinking fact of cultural history as reality. The combination of individuality of perception (synesthesia) with the General norm of imagination, when the new norm defines itself as an individual deviation, and the individuality of perception and imagination directly gives rise to a universal product (ideal, symbol), which is the logical development of the dialectics of the sociocultural process. The methodological potential of the dialectics of the socio-cultural process is the theoretical basis for the definition of synesthesia as a kind of new formation in the space of contradictory interaction, perception and representation as a form and method of organizing the culture of human sensuality. It is revealed the potential of the category "synesthesia" in solving the contradictions of modern sociocultural reality, which is determined by the polymodality and paradox of perception, the strengthening of the design principle of creativity of the individual.
