Nozhko I. Formation of research competence of future Masters of fire safety in vocational training

The current status of the development of the problem of future fire safety postgraduate’s research competence is researched in the thesis and lack of justification of main corner-stone principles of fire safety postgraduate’s research competence development was found out. Structural-component analysis of the concept «fire safety postgraduate’s research competence» was carried out. The criteria, levels (high, mid, low) and the structure of future fire safety postgraduate’s research competence (value-motivational, cognitive, activity, components) are determined. Pedagogical conditions (organizational: evaluation of educational environment, academic integrity provision, development of information provision of postgraduate scientific work, provision of participation of postgraduates in conferences, exhibitions, competitions etc., obligatory publishing of the results of researches; psychological-pedagogical: learning activity mainstreaming, emphasis of the teaching staff on postgraduates’ individual work, interdisciplinary connection with the professional activities of fire safety postgraduates during the educational process, skills and competencies to resolve research problems, postgraduates’ participation in the research activity of graduate chairs; methodical: focusing of professional training technologies on the development of favorable conditions for self-perfection, provision of unity of theoretical and practical training, implementation of elective courses into the educational process, taking into consideration results of prolonged monitoring of levels of research competence formedness) were theorized and experimentally tested. Experimental model of the development of research competence of the future fire safety postgraduates on the basis of the block-structure (contents, technological, activity, control-value) was offered.
