Mazur O. Increase of operational efficiency of a multipurpose vessel of the auxiliary fleet on the waterways of Ukraine

The actual scientific and technical task of the conceptual provision of high-performance implementation of various transportation tasks by a multi-purpose vessel of the auxiliary fleet (MVAF) on inland waterways of Ukraine was solved in the dissertation. The task was solved subject to the safety of navigation, creation of organizational, architectural and constructive conditions: during designing, constructing and technical operation of the vessel at all the main stages of its life cycle for ensuring highly efficient operation. The solution was carried out with ambiguous input data, limited material and time possibilities for designing and construction. The ship's ice class was determined, the basic essential functions of (MVAF) of the ice class (IC) were defined, the design was optimized and the required power of ship's power plant was substantiated. The methods for assessing the icebreaking capability, integrated quality assessments of competing solutions, expert analysis, organizational procedures for designing, manufacturing, operation and maintenance of synthesized (MVAF) (IC) were improved. Performance indicators of operation and maintenance were determined. The method for identifying the vessel's parameters and the course stabilization system that is invariant to wind-wave disturbances was also developed. The methods proved the possibility of highly efficient operation of (MVAF) (IC) on the waterways of Ukraine in all seasons of the year.
