Essay

Object of research: severe community-acquired pneumonia (SCAP); the goal is to develop a model for predicting long-term consequences in patients with SCAP on the basis of studying the features of their clinical-laboratory and functional status in the process of observation; research methods: clinical, laboratory, instrumental, statistical; novelty: supplemented scientific data on the features of clinical-functional status, changes in the function of external respiration, X-ray changes in patients with SCAP and their association with the factor of fibrosis TGF-beta and markers of systemic inflammation; new scientific data on possible remote consequences of SCAP in the course of dynamic observation of patients during the year was received; the criteria have been formulated and recommendations for prediction of possible remote pathological changes and formation of a high-risk group in patients with SCAP have been developed; a mathematical model for predicting the development of possible remote pathological changes in patients undergoing SCAP was created. The field of application is medicine.
