Essay

The aim of the thesis is to develop ways to increase the range of small and medium-sized submarines by reducing their resistance, and ensuring the effective operation of the snorkel in conditions of excitement. On the basis of a review of the literature, an analysis of the state is carried out and the main problems of increasing the nautical and operational qualities of small and medium-sized submarines are identified. The possibility is grounded and the technology of experimental research of the resistance of fully submerged submarines is improved. With the help of methods and means of computational hydrodynamics, a set of body shape parameters has been determined that provide minimal resistance to movement. Using the panel method, a safe immersion depth was determined and a new Moon-Korol snorkel was proposed, which ensures reliable operation at 4–5 ball waves.
