Essay

The dissertation offers the study of musical performances in the context of the processes of socio-cultural communication, the style trends and systemic factors of contemporary Ukrainian vocal-pop performance as an artistic and aesthetic phenomenon are determines. The tendencies of mass characterization and academic formation as a reflection of the antinomic nature of variety forms of musical creativity are revealed and the main tendencies of genre stratification of vocal-pop performances in Ukraine are characterized. Studying the phenomenon of the new academicism in the genre-style forms of pop vocal allows to determine the semantic peculiarity of vocal-pop Ukrainian performances from the standpoint of the theory of interpretation. The content of the reproduction and designing of the "world of life" in pop singing is consistently revealed, as well as the components of the style adaptation of the pop show in the works of Ukrainian pop singers are determined. The material and methodological principles of the study allow to find and categorize the system features of Ukrainian vocal-pop performance as an artistic and aesthetic phenomenon. It is proved that among the main tendencies of the stylistic development of vocal pop performances, academization is strongly emphasized, but with special features, that is, substantially updated and restructured relative to the previous stable forms. In the field of pop music, there is its own “classics” and other value orientations, similar to the artistic and aesthetic criteria of traditional “serious” musical creativity. Today, it is in the so-called “light” music that important questions of human existence are embodied, represented and perceived in an understandably popularized artistic form, and they are brought to the same concert-theater and philharmonic grounds on which traditional academic performance is based. The implementation of the research goal - the determination of factors and means of genre shaping and stylistic development of vocal variety performance in Ukraine at the end of the 20th - beginning of the 21st century - is based on solving a number of tasks. Chief among them are the study of the leading trends of the genre stratification of Ukrainian vocal variety singing in the general sociocommunicative context; singling out the stylistic tendencies of the design of the “life world” in pop vocal singing, in particular, the features of the stylistic adaptation of the pop hit in the works of Ukrainian pop singers; lighting the value of the image of the personality - artistic personality factor - in musical pop-art. The main factor of unity is the figure of the performer-singer, around whom a set of compositional-stage trajectories is organized, that is, all the material of the performance with its chronotopic features and requirements. If the vocalist is in the epicenter of pop action, then in relation to his artistic and psychological thesaurus, i.e. in relation to the semantic constants of the image of the modern personality created by him, the leading ones are musical-language means, the connotative circle of musical stylistics. The subject-sign side of the image (that is, its emblematic projections and symbolic area) is determined by a typical genre (genre-primary) expression as an auditory form of evaluation of collective communicative experience. The genre form of the hit is distinguished, which reveals its artistic prolegomena in composer entertainment music of the early twentieth century, has its own structural compositional and semantic origins, suggests a high level of artistic modeling with a wide coverage of sociocommunicative material, requires artistic skill and psychological maturity from authors and performers, often causing the convergence of their professional qualities and tasks. Keywords: vocal-pop performance, genre stratification of Ukrainian vocal performances, stylistic properties of pop vocal, "artistic world" of smash hit, style personification, new academicism, personality image, artistic synergy, "star" of musical-mass culture, stage action, artistic-game conceptualization.
