Balukhtina O. Economic and Property Resource of Orthodox Church in the second half of the XIX century – 1917 (on Data of the South of Ukraine)

The object of research: the Orthodox Church in the system of social relations in the South of Ukraine in the second half of the XIX century – 1917. The aim of research: to explore the components of the economic and property resource, the ways of its formation, the impact on the material support of the Orthodox clergy and on the expansion of the public influence of the church in the South of Ukraine in the second half of the XIX century – 1917. The subject of research: the components of the economic and property resource, namely, movable and immovable property, the economic activities of the Orthodox Church in the South of Ukraine in the second half of the XIX century – 1917. The results of research: the sources of formation and components of the economic and property resource of the Orthodox Church in the South of Ukraine in the second half of the XIX century - 1917, as well as its influence on the material status of the Orthodox clergy, were investigated. It was established that the basis of the economic and property complex of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Southern Ukrainian dioceses were monastic and church farms. The main sources and income structure of parish churches, monasteries, white and black clergy are presented. The mechanism of sales of products candlesticks was investigated. Active economic activities of the Russian Orthodox Church were proved. A comparative analysis of ecclesiastical and monastic land tenure and land use has been carried out, their features have been determined separately by provinces and at the regional level. The sphere of usage: the further research of the current subject, writing of the synthesis works, manuals, reading of the high school courses on the history of Ukraine, the history of the church in Ukraine.
