Essay

Анатація англійська: Morpho-functional characteristic of masseter muscle in norm and in experimental diabetes mellitus. Analysis of the morpho-functional changes in the structural components of the masseter muscle at ESDM allowed us to distinguish 3 stages: adaptation-compensatory processes (14-28 days), exhaustion (42 days), destructive-atrophic changes (56-70 days). The detected morpho-functional changes made it possible to establish the morphogenesis of diabetic myopathy of the chewing muscles, resulting from the following factors: 1) metabolic destructive changes in the most muscle fibers in response to hyperglycemia; 2) development of circulatory and hemic hypoxia through structural reorganization of the hemomicrocirculatory vessels, which lead to damage to muscle fibers and neuromuscular endings and synapses; 3) qualitative and quantitative morphological changes in the nervous apparatus, which indicate the development of neuromyopathy, which is confirmed by electromyographic indicators. Key words: masseter muscle, neuromuscular synapse, hemomicrocirculatory bed, streptozotocin diabetes mellitus, electromyography. Branch-Medicine.
