Fedus V. Diagnostic criteria of testicles damage in boys with inguinal hernias and choice of surgical correction of pathology

Object – inguinal hernia in boys at the stages of surgical treatment and follow-up; goal – increase the effectiveness of treatment of inguinal hernia in boys, taking into account the spectrum of non-invasive markers of testicular damage; methods – general clinical laboratory, ultrasound examination of the testicle with pulse-wave dopplerometry, high-quality compression elastography of the testicle, testicular testicular oximetry, statistical method; results – for the first time, an assessment scale of flat pictures of testicular tissue in boys with inguinal hernias was created; analyzed the dynamics of the types of testicular elasticity in boys with inguinal hernias based on the results of high-quality compression elastography; the knowledge of the pathogenetic role of testicular oxygenation of the testes during the laparoscopic and open surgical treatment methods has been deepened and expanded; for the first time, based on the determination of the diagnostic value of the parameters of testicular oximetry and sonoelastography, predictors of early preclinical testicular lesions in inguinal hernia in boys are highlighted; a correlation between the diagnostic criteria for assessing the structural condition of the testicle in boys with inguinal hernias at the stages of surgical treatment has been proven; sound drug therapy after herniotomies in boys with inguinal hernias to improve hemodynamics in the testicle; branch – medicine.
