Akhmad I. Associative-semantic connections of cyclical temporal lexeme in the Russian language

Object: associative-semantic group. Objective: identification of associative-semantic features’ connections of lexemes and denotations of the day parts in the Russian language and development of their typology. Methods: structural method (methods of component, definition, re-motivational and distributive analysis), opposition method, classification technique , categorical analysis, context analysis, free association method, quantitative calculation procedure. Scientific novelty: the members of closed lexical-semantic group of the day parts’ names in the Russian language and their associates have become the object of the study for the first time; the associative-semantic connections specificity of one lexical-semantic paradigm members has been revealed; intra- and extra-linguistic factors that determine the associative relationships of lexemes have been determined; a typical associative-semantic structure with a peak-part of the day has been developed; the system of verbal associations’ semantic analysis methods has been expanded; the further development of the lexical-semantic paradigm theory has been provided. Practical value: the results obtained can be used in the course of lectures on modern Russian literary language, linguistic analysis of the text, in conducting special courses and special seminars, as well as in lexicographic practice.
