Korol V. Organization of forwarding services of transport processes and systems of cargo delivery in containers.

Dissertation for the obtaining a scientific degree of the candidate of technical sciences in specialty 05.22.01 - "Transport systems". - Odessa National Maritime University MES of Ukraine, Odessa 2019. The dissertation is devoted to the development and scientific substantiation of theoretical and methodological provisions on the organization of freight forwarding services for transport processes and cargo delivery systems in containers in order to increase the efficiency of the activities of companies that provide freight forwarding services. To achieve the goal three tasks were set and consistently solved in the dissertation. In a process of solving the first task: the theory and practice of freight forwarding services are considered, analysis of information resources related to the general questions of the theory of transport processes and systems. As a result, a number of contradictions were identified that determine the list of relevant, but not resolved issues; theoretical provisions on the distinction between the concepts of "forwarding" and "logistics", "forwarder" and "logistic" are formulated. As a result of solving the second task: theoretical positions in regard of the system representation and functional unity of the transport, transportation and cargo handling processes are formulated, logical characteristic of the concept of "Cargo Delivery System" (CDS) is defined, theoretical provisions of the structural and functional analysis of the CDS are generalized, the technology of substantiation of the routes for cargo delivery during transportation and forwarding service of container traffic is developed. As a result of solving the third task: the method of substantiation of the quantitative composition of cargo lots in the formation of consolidated shipments in containers was investigated, the method of the justification of the measurement unit for the cargo lot size to determine forwarding rate for the organization of cargo delivery in consolidated container is developed, the method of the substantiation of the container use options while designing the delivery system of cargo is developed.
