Hutsal V. Professor I. Vynokur in the scientific, educational and public life of Ukraine (1948 - 2006).

All aspects of life, scientific and creative activity, educational and public work of thefamous archaeologist, historian, ethnographer I. Vinokur are researched in the dissertation. It proves that famous Ukrainian historians and senior colleagues - Boris Tymoshchuk, L. Kovalenko, M. Braichevsky played a decisive role in shaping the scientific interests of I. Vynokur, developing him as a scholar and a teacher. The Archeological Expedition, which was created by I. Vynokur in 1963 on the basis of Kamianets-Podilskyi pedagogical institute, provided field researches and the development of a source base for the study of the ancient history of Ukraine. During 1963-2006 archaeologists excavated 16 ancient settlements, 8 hillforts where they identified nearly 300 dwelling and commercial buildings, 21 burial grounds and 80 burial mounds, opened more than 300 graves and 10 pagan shrine-altars.
