Essay

The thesis summarises and systematises the experience of socio-geographical research of postindustrial transformational processes. Analysed the evolution of theoretical views and approaches to urban space zoning. The methods of socio-geographical study of the city's economy transformation using GIS-technologies was developed and tested.The priority directions for the development of Kiev's economy spatial organisation are substantiated and the set of priority measures aimed at optimising postindustrial shifts in its economy has been proposed.
