Bilay Y. State Protective services of the Governments of A. Denikin and P. Wrangel in the South of Ukraine (1918–1920)

The object of research: White Movement on the territory of the south of Ukraine. The aim of research: to study the history of the State Protective Services of the White movement in 1918-1920. The subject of research: the activities of counterintelligence and the State Protective Services of the White Movement, the strategy and tactics of countering the Ukrainian, Bolshevik and insurgent movements, as well as national minorities in the South of Ukraine in the conditions of the military-political situation of 1918-1920. The results of research: the periodization of the development and functioning of the state security structures of the governments of A. Denikin and P. Wrangel on the territory of the South of Ukraine was outlined; the role of ideological and propaganda work of State Protective Services in the region was defined; the strategic goals of the security forces of the White Movement were analyzed; the forces and means of the State Protective Services of the White Guards were characterized; the regional features of the activities of the security forces of the White Movement during 1918-1920 were revealed. The sphere of usage: the further research of the current subject, writing of the synthesis works, manuals, reading of the high school courses on the history of Ukraine.
