Litvinova O. Development of the composition and technology of vaginal suppositories with acyclovir and essential oils of tea tree and thyme

The thesis is devoted to theoretical and experimental grounding of composition and technology of combined medicine in the form of vaginal suppositories (pessaries) with acyclovir and essential oils of Tea tree and Thyme for the prevention and treatment of genital form of herpes infection and its’ implementation into pharm production. Empirical propositions of production of pessaries for a treatment of genital form of herpes infection are theoretically substantiated and expanded. Methods of standardization of the developed medicine by methods of spectrophotometry and gas chromatography are developed accordingly. Method of determination of additional impurities of acyclovir in a medicine by methods of highest liquid chromatography are also developed accordingly. Stability of proposed medicine is experimentally grounded and terms of storage of pessaries are defined. The process of scaling of industrial technology for obtaining of suppositories with acyclovir and essential oils on the production line of JSC “Lekhim-Kharkiv” was carried out. Critical indexes of technological process of pessaries in industrial production are defined.
