Essay

The following results were obtained: the effectiveness of the use of porous fibrous shells of polymer drainage systems for the tertiary treatment of water that passed granular loads was substantiated; improved and developed mathematical models of sequential and parallel filtering of a low-concentrated suspension through layers of granular and fibrous loads, including when a part of the flow from is removed to the lower layers of granular loads; theoretical and experimental studies were carried out, which allowed to study the influence of the facility’s parameters an improved design on the efficiency of its work, and also to develop recommendations for design and operation. The reliability of the results of theoretical studies is confirmed by satisfactory convergence with experimental data. The results of the investigations were introduced at the Donets Water Treatment Complex facilities of the second lift of the second unit of a separate subdivision of the Kharkivvodokanal utility company and are used in the developments of Kharkiv Vodokanalproekt and PROMINVESTPROEKT.
