Pantyukhov B. Patriotic education of cadets in higher military educational institutions of Ukraine (1992 – 2016)

It has been established that the problems of formation of patriotism in military personnel has been attracting considerable interest of researchers for many centuries, and as a pedagogical phenomenon it is studied in different directions. Being an interdisciplinary field, it became the subject of research of various branches of science, such as philosophy, sociology, history, pedagogy, etc. In the course of the study, it was proved that the mentioned issues were monitored in the following areas: 1) the study of the national-patriotic education of Ukrainian youth and the patriotic training of soldiers of the past Ukrainian military formations (M. Holyk, S. Holovchuk, A. Datsenko, and others); 2) study of foreign experience of civic patriotism education of younger generations and the formation of citizenship and patriotism in the system of professional military education (O. Alekseyev, Y. Bryzhatyi, A. Buhun, O. Honcharenko, and others); 3) analysis of the current state of military-patriotic upbringing of pre-consular youth and the formation of patriotism as a personal and professional quality of military specialists (A. Afanasyev, V. Dzyuba, Y. Zorii, M. Zubaliy, and others).
