The dissertation is the first in the national legal doctrine the comprehensive, scientific research of professional legal assistance in the judicial process of Ukraine after the constitutional reform on justice in 2016 implemented by Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Since the constitutional reform of justice system, as well as the introduction of a monopoly of advocates, in the legal doctrine of Ukraine there has been no dissertation research on the professional advocate’s legal assistance in the judicial process of Ukraine. This paper provides a detailed research of the essence of professional legal assistance in the judicial process of Ukraine; formation and development of professional legal assistance in the judicial process of Ukraine; the legal status of the persons that implement, provide and receive professional advocate’s legal assistance in the judicial process of Ukraine; the peculiarities of giving by an advocate free legal aid in judicial process of Ukraine. Particular attention is devoted to the issue of the monopoly of advocates in the judicial process of Ukraine, the peculiarities of the provision of legal aid in the Ukrainian legal process, as well as the specifics of the provision of professional legal assistance to government authorities, local self-government bodies and enterprises, institutions, organizations that have in their authorized capital more than 50% of the state's shares. The dissertation is conducted in the light of the 2016 constitutional reform of justice.
