Essay

The thesis research presents the comprehensive analysis of problems on training of the educatees of cadet schools of Ukraine for military service in wide chronological frameworks (second half of the ХІХ – beginning of the ХХ century). It defines the historiography (prerevolutionary, Soviet, post-Soviet) and sources of formation and development of the phenomenon studied in terms of national pedagogical view. It was proved that the origins of the investigated phenomenon in the national educational tradition are connected: with the acquisition of the empirical experience of military training of youth through ritual and beliefs; acquisition of weapons of practice, riding a horse; military tricks, military motifs of folk songs, etc., which were formed even in ancient times; military-physical training, tempering and discipline in schools created at the Zaporozhian Sich (Regimental School, Sich School and School of Jurassic); with the activities of the Kyiv Mohyla Academy, which became the center of concentration and exertion of the spiritual energy of its people, the training and suppliers of military personnel, which played a significant political role in the development of Ukraine. Activation of the development of the problem served as a grounding in the writings of domestic teachers, public figures and personnel military requirements for military education and military training of youth; the discovery in the Russian Empire of cadet corps, which was conditioned by the growing needs of the army in qualified officer personnel; carrying out reforms and adopting a number of documents regulating and joining all military educational institutions into a single system of public administration.
