Essay

In the thesis a study of the basic practices of the everyday life of urban settlements in the Volyn province of the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries was conducted. The semantics of urban space, the composition of the population of cities and towns were highlighted, the specifics of the implementation of urban legislation in Volyn were noted, the social life of citizens, their way of life, and the main features of urban spiritual and leisure culture were studied.
